Camp John Hope - Ft. Valley Georgia, the Episcopal Camp for Blacks, was named after John Hope (June 2, 1868 - February 22, 1936), an educator and political activist.. John Hope was the first African descendant that was President of Morehouse College (1906) and Atlanta University (1929).
